It was a great to meet all of you that came out to our first general meeting. There was pizza, fun, research information, and introductions! Our sponsor Dr. D'Arcy talked about her research and helpful hints regarding the world of Biochemistry.

ONGOING EVENTS
General Meetings
General meetings are held on campus once each month. We invite a professor or industry professional to give short talks about their work, an interesting field, or a topic in science that they love! Annual BBQ!

What better way to de-stress in finals season than to get together with friends and waaaay too much food? Nothing!
Our BBQ is unbeatable! Look forward to our final event of the school year, taking place in late spring!

Perot Museum Outreach​

Each month some of our members volunteer to do science experiments and demonstrations for DFW children that visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Sound like fun? Come to our meetings to find out more!

We have fun together with at least one board game night each semester. Members are invited to bring friends and their own games as we join together for a good time with some delicious pizza!

Industry Tour
​
In the Biochemistry Association we like to have fun while we learn! Each year we try to have at least one tour of a space that incorporates biochemistry work that affects our daily lives.
​
To hear more about microorganisms like yeast that are part of every day life, we went on an informative brewery tour right here in Richardson. Our members that were 21+ stayed afterwards for a taste test! Although this is just one type of tour we attend, we always have fun!
